He expressed determination to heal quickly and return to the field as soon as possible. Although Albies did not provide a specific timeline for his return, X-rays showed a visible crack on his toe. In the meantime, the Braves called up infielder David Fletcher as a replacement.
Last year, Albies had an impressive season and was named an All-Star for the third time in his career. He has started this season strong with a .317 batting average, two home runs, and 14 RBI in just 15 games.
