In the consolation game of the National Christian School basketball tournament, the Chautauqua Christian Academy Defenders pulled off a thrilling victory over Faith Christian of West Virginia. With only 30 seconds left on the clock and trailing by five points, Sawyer Lynn drilled a clutch go-ahead 3-pointer to lead the Defenders to a final score of 67-60.

The Defenders had a strong showing throughout the tournament, finishing third in Division 5 after falling short to the eventual champions in the quarterfinals. Despite this setback, they refused to give up and demonstrated their resilience by mounting a comeback from behind in the final minute of regulation time.

Lynn’s impressive performance was instrumental in leading his team to victory, with his 19 points including three crucial 3-pointers. Junior Marcus Ryan stood out with an outstanding 34-point game, while Hunter Edwards contributed 10 valuable rebounds and Kayden Peterson shone on defense all season long. Both Ryan and Lynn were recognized for their excellent play by earning spots on the All-Tournament team.
