Police in Chicago are currently investigating a string of armed robberies that have been targeting businesses in the Back of the Yards, Pilsen, and Bucktown neighborhoods.

On Tuesday night, several businesses in Chicago were targeted in a series of armed robberies. The first incident took place at a business in the 1800-block of West 47th Street around 9:50 p.m. According to police, three male suspects entered the business and demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from the register and fleeing in an unknown direction.

Later that night, around 10:09 p.m., a second robbery occurred in the 1100-block of West 18th Street. Three suspects with handguns entered a business and demanded property from both an employee and four customers before striking the employee in the head with a handgun and fleeing southbound on May Street in a silver sedan. Despite being injured, the employee declined medical attention.

The third robbery took place at a 7-Eleven store on North Damen Avenue around 10:20 p.m., where three male suspects with handguns demanded property from an employee before grabbing money from the register and fleeing south on Damen Avenue. No one is currently in custody for any of these crimes, and police have not yet confirmed if they are connected. Tune into ABC7 Chicago for more updates on this developing story.
