
The world champion sheepdog and handler have been announced after a challenging four-day competition at Gill Hall Estate in Dromore. Out of 240 participants, Petter Landfald from Norway and his dog Max emerged as the winners, earning the title of World champions. The competition involved 16 of the best sheepdogs and handlers from around the world, with Landfald and Max victorious on Saturday. In addition to the main championship, Tyler McKinlay from Scotland was named the Young Handler World Champion, marking the first year of an all-female final in the junior competition.
Alderman Margaret Tinsley, the Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, congratulated the winners and expressed her delight at their remarkable achievement. She also thanked the event organizers for their successful execution of the trials. Tinsley extended her appreciation to all the competitors who visited the borough and hoped that they enjoyed the rural countryside and the beautiful location at Gill Hall Estate. She wished the international visitors a safe journey home and invited them to visit the borough again in the future.
