The Paducah Area Community Reuse Organization awarded West Kentucky Community and Technical College a $50,000 grant to support the college’s goal of creating an Aviation Maintenance Technology program. This grant will play a significant role in establishing the new program, which is projected to have a positive impact on the local community and create employment opportunities.
Greg Wiles, PACRO Executive Director, and PACRO Board Chair Eddie Jones, along with WKCTC President Anton Reece and AMT Program Coordinator Bruce Glasco are advocates of the program and are dedicated to its success. The college plans to launch the Aviation Maintenance Technology program in August 2024.
With projections indicating a growing demand for aviation mechanics and a strong aerospace industry in Kentucky, the new program is expected to contribute to the economic growth of the region.
