Preview of FSU vs. Virginia in College World Series elimination game: Seminoles face off against Cavaliers with updates on how to watch/listen

The Florida State Seminoles faced off against the number one team in the nation on Friday night, with both teams competing for a spot in the College World Series. The game was a thrilling affair that went down to the wire, with FSU leading 3-0 heading into the ninth inning. However, the Tennessee Volunteers staged a ninth-inning rally to secure a walk-off victory and force FSU into an elimination game.

FSU will now face their familiar ACC opponent, Virginia Cavaliers, in a do-or-die matchup to keep their season alive. Virginia recently won their super regional and faced the North Carolina Tar Heels in their first College World Series game, where they also experienced a walk-off defeat. The last time FSU and Virginia met this season, FSU emerged victorious with a score of 12-7 in the ACC Tournament.

In Sunday’s game, Virginia will start Jay Woolfolk on the mound, who had an excellent performance against FSU earlier in the season. The right-hander struck out three batters and allowed just one run in that game. The Florida State vs. Virginia game is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET from Omaha and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

Key players to watch for Virginia include Henry Godbout, Jacob Ference, and Henry Ford, who have been instrumental to the team’s success this season. This matchup between No. 12 Virginia and No. 8 FSU promises to be an exciting battle between two top teams vying for a spot in the College World Series
