Regional Organization Promotes Family Discussions on Organ Donation

Vermont Green FC faced a tough opponent in Carolina Core during the US Open Cup match held in Burlington, Vt. Despite leading 1-0 at halftime, the team could not maintain their advantage and ultimately lost 2-1.

In the first half, Yaniv Bazini scored a penalty for Vermont Green to take a commanding lead. Goalkeeper Nathan Schnur made five crucial saves to keep his team ahead, but Carolina Core refused to give up.

The second half saw Carolina Core fighting back with determination. Papa Ndoye equalized the score in the 60th minute with a penalty goal, followed by Joshua Rodriguez’s score in the 70th minute. Vermont Green had several chances to regain the lead, but they couldn’t make them count and ended up losing 2-1.

After the game, head coach Adam Pfeifer praised his team’s effort against a strong opponent and thanked the fans for their support. Although disappointed by the loss, he acknowledged that this setback would only make them stronger as they prepare for their upcoming USL2 campaign that begins on May 18th against Boston City.

Overall, Vermont Green FC gave it their all during this match, but they just couldn’t come out on top against such a talented opponent. However, they will continue to work hard and strive for success in future matches.
