A Venezuelan man, Juan Vicente Perez Mora, was recognized by Guinness World Records in 2022 as the oldest man in the world at the age of 114. On Tuesday, Perez passed away at his home in the town of El Cobre, leaving behind a family of 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Perez was born on May 27, 1909, and had worked in agriculture since he was five years old. As he grew older, he became a sheriff and helped resolve land and family disputes. Despite his busy schedule as a sheriff, Perez continued to work in agriculture until his death.
