The Texas A&M Basketball team has had a fantastic start to their season, currently boasting a 4-0 record. They have demonstrated their poise and toughness in close games with impressive road wins over Ohio State and SMU within just four days. Their recent victory over Oral Roberts further solidified their strong start.

Next up for the Aggies is the ESPN Invitational Tournament in Orlando, Florida, where they will face off against Penn State in a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament opening-round loss. Head coach Buzz Williams and his determined squad are eager to make their mark in the tournament and avenge their previous defeat.

In the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Texas A&M rose two spots to No. 13, proving that their impressive start has caught the attention of voters. The team has remained undefeated heading into the ESPN Invitational Tournament, positioning themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the college basketball landscape. They are currently the second-highest ranked SEC program, trailing behind Tennessee at No. 8.

Other SEC teams that have made it into the top 25 include Alabama at No. 22, Kentucky at No. 16, Mississippi State who entered the rankings for the first time this year with a 5-0 record, Arkansas who received votes but didn’t make it into the top 25, Auburn who also received votes but didn’t make it into the top 25 and South Carolina who also received votes but didn’t make it into the top 25 either.
