Top performers from Memphis area high school spring sports in Week 4

In the Memphis area high school spring sports, Week 4 of the 2024 season saw some remarkable performances. In baseball, CBHS defeated Houston 11-1, with Riley Goodman as the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters in three innings. Hank Stalnaker had two RBIs and two stolen bases, while Holden Robinson and Will Brick each had two RBIs. FACS emerged victorious over Lausanne 12-6, with Kayden Hartunian as the winning pitcher.

In softball, Brighton took down Collierville 12-0, with Aliya Garcia going 3-for-3 and scoring two runs. Houston also won against Bartlett 11-10, with Maddie McClure going 3-for-4 and scoring three runs. Maci Frederick was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Ella McKnight had two hits and two runs scored. St. Benedict beat Munford 2-0, with Jorja Wheeler pitching a complete game and striking out 11 batters. Arlington defeated Southwind 16-0, with Brooklynn Knight as the winning pitcher.

On Monday, Briarcrest defeated Munford 6-0 in boys soccer, with Chandler Cross and Coleman Loving scoring two goals each and Andrew Painter contributing a goal and an assist.
