Unstoppable Midland Valley Mustangs Secure Hard-Fought Victory Against Easley in Softball Tournament

Midland Valley’s softball team took the field on Wednesday night in a Class AAAA elimination game against Easley with determination. The delayed game from the previous day had fueled their frustration, but it also added to their determination as they faced Easley in what became a pivotal match-up for the team.

The Mustangs demonstrated their readiness to play and win, scoring four runs in the first two innings. Their impressive offensive performance was coupled with excellent pitching and defense, securing their victory over Easley. Pitchers Karley Bedenbaugh and Larue Hicks were outstanding on the mound, supported by a solid defensive effort from the team. The Mustangs’ defense proved to be impenetrable for Easley, allowing only one hit throughout the game.

On offense, Midland Valley dominated with 10 hits. Bailey Seabolt stood out with a perfect 4-for-4 at-bat, showcasing her skills with a double, two stolen bases, and a run scored. Other players like Haley Thornsberry, Addison Haltiwanger, Jordan Nelson, and Anslee Heath also contributed with hits and RBIs. The team’s resilient performance in the face of elimination was evident as they rallied back from setbacks to secure crucial victories.

Coach Katie Anderson praised the team’s attitude, noting that they were not ready to back down and were eager to continue competing.
