American Vision Auto owner Jessie Guadalupe Montes is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from customers through his car restoration business in Houston. Court records show that Montes misrepresented his ability to sell and provide classic vehicles, leading to losses totaling approximately $105,000 for the victims involved. He is currently facing charges of theft aggregate and money laundering.
This is not the first time Montes has been charged with similar crimes. He has a pending case in Lake Charles, LA for similar actions and a history of theft charges in Fayette, Austin, and Waller Counties. KPRC 2 reporter Bryce Newberry is following this story and will have more information at 10 tonight. If you have had any dealings with Montes or American Vision Auto, you are encouraged to reach out to Bryce at Bnewberry@kprc.com.
