Carson Hansen, outfielder from Milwaukee, transferring to Arkansas baseball

Outfielder Carson Hansen from Pewaukee, Wisconsin, has announced his commitment to play baseball at the University of Arkansas. The 6-2, 220-pound left-handed batter and thrower was voted to the All-Horizon League first team at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Hansen put up impressive numbers this year, batting .315 with 25 doubles, 11 home runs, and 63 RBI for the Panthers. He also had a .404 on-base percentage and .601 slugging percentage, with an OPS of 1.005 and a successful 7 out of 8 stolen-base attempts. Primarily playing right field and batting fourth in the lineup, Hansen made significant contributions during his time at Milwaukee.

In other news, Hunter Grimes, an infielder/outfielder, has entered the transfer portal after redshirting this year with Arkansas. Grimes will be turning 25 before the 2025 season and has previously played for Texas-San Antonio and McLennan Community College.

This summer, Hansen is playing for the Green Bay Rockers in the Northwoods League, batting .191 with 9 hits, 8 walks, 2 home runs, 10 RBI, and 2 stolen bases in 13 games. He is the third known transfer to the Razorbacks this off-season, joining Kuhio Aloy from BYU and Charles Davalan from Florida Gulf Coast.
