NBC Chicago reports that the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago closed unexpectedly on Wednesday for maintenance.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has announced that it will be closed on Wednesday due to unexpected maintenance issues. Individuals who had purchased advance tickets will receive a refund or can reschedule their visit by calling (773) 684-1414. The museum is scheduled to reopen on Thursday for its regular operating hours, which are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The MSI had extended its hours for spring break from Monday to Thursday, offering visitors the chance to explore its exhibits and interactive displays during the daytime. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the museum was forced to close on Wednesday and resumed its normal operating hours on Monday, April 8th.

On April 21st, the museum is planning to offer free admission to Illinois residents as part of its annual Earth Day celebration. Visitors can learn about various scientific concepts related to nature and the environment while enjoying free admission all day long.
