The fifth annual outdoor living design competition aimed to connect with nature and create stunning landscapes. Judges including interior designer Bunny Williams and Institute of Classical Architecture & Art president Peter Lyden chose the top 22 entries for the 2024 World’s Most Beautiful Gardens, showcasing unique designs that blended home and garden in harmony.
The four winning landscapes offered visitors a chance to explore hidden oases and immerse themselves in the serenity of nature. From tropical poolside whimsy in Los Angeles to modern reflections in Bridgehampton, each design showcased a different aspect of outdoor living. The most romantic comeback story in San Gabriel Valley and a wild salute to the countryside in Dorset, England rounded out the winners.
The competition’s methodology involved blind judging by Williams and Lyden, with VERANDA editors selecting the top entries for consideration. The call for entries for the 2025 World’s Most Beautiful Gardens is now open, with details available on the VERANDA website.
