The vehicle competes with models from Toyota and Honda, but I found it to have strong performance and fuel efficiency. However, the drivetrain and transmission were somewhat lacking in refinement.
The popularity of compact crossover SUVs continues to grow in America, making up about one in every five new vehicle sales in the first quarter of this year. Hyundai has been offering the Tucson in this segment for 20 years, with it now being their top-selling model, selling almost 210,000 units in 2023. With its fourth generation launching in 2021, the Tucson is also one of the most popular models in its segment.
