Chiefs Defensive Tackle Isaiah Buggs Accused of Another Crime

As the offseason continues, the Kansas City Chiefs are facing yet another challenge with the arrest of defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs. This time, Buggs has been charged with domestic violence/burglary. The details of the incident are not clear, but court records show that he was released on a $5,000 bond. Buggs had previously been charged with animal cruelty misdemeanors in Tuscaloosa last month, and his lawyer claimed that it was part of an effort to close a hookah lounge he owned.

Buggs is a 27-year-old former sixth-round pick of the Steelers who has also spent time with the Raiders and Lions. He joined the Chiefs practice squad in January and was later signed to the 90-man roster. The Chiefs have faced numerous off-field issues this year, including eight pending felony charges against receiver Rashee Rice for street racing in Dallas.

The team’s unusual offseason continues as they navigate these challenges and prepare for the upcoming season. It remains to be seen how these incidents will impact their performance on the field, but it is clear that they have a lot of work to do off it.
