Picking a Candidate: Anyone But Trump or Biden

An unknown 35-year-old man from Dallas, Texas has legally changed his name to “Literally Anybody Else” and announced his candidacy for the 2024 US presidential elections. Previously known as Dustin Ebey, he believes that there is a need for change in the political landscape and that he can catalyze dissatisfaction with the two main candidates, Joe Biden and Donald Trump. He believes that the current appropriation of power by the main parties does not benefit ordinary citizens and that they deserve better.

As an elementary school teacher and former soldier, he aims to reiterate the idea that anyone else would be a better option than Biden or Trump, framing his candidacy as a protest cry against the status quo. To get his name on the ballot in Texas, he needs to collect 113,000 signatures, but since that seems unlikely, he is campaigning for people to write “literally anybody else” on the ballot instead. His goal is to ensure that America is not forced to choose between what he calls the “debt king” and an 81-year-old candidate.

Despite his unconventional campaign strategy, Literally Anybody Else has sparked curiosity and discussion about the need for alternative voices in the political landscape. He is challenging traditional norms and expectations of the electoral process by offering a different choice for voters in the upcoming election.
