In the heart of Pula, specifically on Vrtlarska street, at least five individuals were taken into custody during a recent attempt to evict them from their business premises. The situation quickly escalated when a large number of cars arrived, obstructing access and leading to a confrontation between the police and those present. Tear gas was deployed by the authorities and the tires of the towing service vehicles were punctured during the incident.
This is not the first time an eviction attempt has occurred in this location, as a similar situation happened in November of last year but ultimately failed. The ongoing conflict and resistance from those being evicted continue to result in confrontations and arrests. The scene in front of the “Porečanka” building remains tense as the authorities work to carry out the eviction while facing opposition from those involved.
