On September 15, Qualcomm China and Baidu announced their partnership to jointly create extended reality (XR) technologies and its application in several industries, which includes tourism and education. This collaboration is supported by a non-binding Strategic Cooperation MoU. In order to improve the metaverse user expertise, Baidu plans to integrate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Spaces™ XR developer platform and cutting-edge XR technologies into its XiRang platform. Launched in 2021, XiRang platform was designed by Baidu to assistance the improvement of the metaverse.
