The 49ers, despite their loss in Super Bowl LVIII, are the favored team to win Super Bowl LIX according to odds released by sportsbooks. The odds they are getting vary from book to book but are generally around +550. Following closely behind the 49ers are the Chiefs, AFC champions, with odds of around +350. The Ravens, who lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, round out the top three teams with odds of around +800.
The Lions and Bills make up the next two spots on the list, although their order is not entirely consistent across all sportsbooks. The Bengals, Cowboys, Eagles, Dolphins, Packers and Texans follow them in varying orders. In this group of teams, there has been a significant amount of early action backing both the Lions and Chargers. This is due to their strong performances last season and recent coaching changes: Jim Harbaugh was recently hired as head coach by the Chargers.
On the other hand, Dave Canales is starting his first season as head coach of Panthers team that have one of longest Super Bowl odds amongst all teams at this point.
