Recently, Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School faculty and staff participated in a charity game against the Harlem Wizards, a world-renowned basketball team. Kopa, the therapy dog, served as an honorary referee for the game.
The Harlem Wizards returned to William Floyd to face off against the faculty and staff from Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School in a friendly basketball game. The night was filled with excitement as students showcased their basketball skills during a “Wiz-Kids” warm-up. Comedy, contests, raffles, slam dunks, autographs, and more added to the fun atmosphere.
The event was a huge success and thanked the Harlem Wizards for visiting William Floyd once again. Special recognition was given to the Hobart and Tangier Smith PTOs for their hard work in organizing the event. Additional photos from the event can be found in the album below.
