Silkkitie, Indian Nurses and Business Growth: Opportunities and Challenges in Recruitment

Silkkitie, owned by Sotjätti Attendo, is currently in the process of recruiting nursing staff from India. The local partner believes that there is great potential in this venture. One of the nurses who will be moving to Finland next summer is Vikas, a 25-year-old nurse from Delhi. Despite being nervous, Vikas is excited about the opportunity to live in the happiest country in the world. He has already started learning a few Finnish words and is looking forward to the new experience.

The cooperation between Silk Road and Indian Walsons Healthcare has paved the way for bringing Indian nurses to Finland. With plans to increase the number of nurses at a rapid pace, this partnership is seen as a business opportunity by both companies. Richa Arora, the director of Walsons Healthcare, believes that there is a demand for nurses from India in Finland and sees this as a growth opportunity for their business.

Indian nursing degrees are not recognized in Finland, so nurses from India will need to undergo an apprenticeship and pass a Finnish nursing degree. While there are challenges in the recruitment process, including language tests and educational requirements, both companies are committed to providing comprehensive support to the nurses who will be coming to Finland.

Silkkitie and Walsons Healthcare are focused on responsible recruitment practices and ensuring that the nurses are well-prepared for their new roles in Finland. They use advanced technology and verification processes to confirm the authenticity of credentials, and they aim to provide transparent information to job seekers about their employment terms and benefits. Additionally, both companies are looking at recruiting whole families to work in Finland with the goal of establishing roots in the country by encouraging long-term commitments.

With a turnover of 3.8 million euros in 2022 and plans for further expansion, Silkkitie is poised to make a significant impact on the healthcare sector in Finland.

In summary, Silkkitie’s plan to recruit nursing staff from India through its partnership with Indian Walsons Healthcare has great potential for growth opportunities for both companies while addressing shortages within Finnish social security sector through long term commitments made by recruited families
