The Trosjed cable car on Crveni spust sustained significant damage during a July storm. This means that the skiing season on the Red Slope will not be operational this year, disappointing many skiing enthusiasts.

According to officials from the City of Zagreb, preparatory work has been completed and snowmaking will soon begin to prepare for the ski season on the White and Green slopes. Additionally, plans for the procurement of a new cable car for the Red Slope are in progress.

Experts from the Austrian company Doppelmayr assessed the damage and concluded that it was beyond repair. This news has caused disappointment among skiing enthusiasts who were looking forward to hitting the slopes this year. However, efforts are being made to ensure that skiers can still enjoy a winter sports experience in Zagreb’s other slopes.
