On September 30, a loved ones occasion named the Household Eco Festival will be held at Alto Vineyards, Alto Pass, with the aim of assisting science teachers across the Southern Illinois area. The occasion is organized by teachers from SIU’s River Area Master Teaching Fellows Plan and is a fundraiser for Innovations in STEM Education, a non-profit organization. The funds raised will be utilised to present science components to teachers in Southern Illinois who are in will need.
The theme of the occasion is environmental sustainability, and there will be hands-on science activities readily available all through the day. In addition, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle will be held. Demonstrations and activities will contain eco-arts and crafts, as nicely as solar eclipse-associated activities.
Reside music will be featured at the occasion, beginning with the Buckn’ John Show at 1 p.m. Todd Pierson will take the stage at three p.m. Meals possibilities will be readily available from a meals truck, along with kid-friendly snacks and soft drinks.
The occasion is sponsored by several organizations which includes Alto Vineyards, Southern Illinois Neighborhood Foundation, The Robert Noyce Teaching Scholarship Plan, SIU River Area Sustainability, and the National Science Foundation.
