Senior Health Fair in Brooklyn: A Collaboration between SMPDD and Forrest County Board of Supervisors

The Southern Mississippi Planning and Developing District (SMPDD) is collaborating with the Forrest County Board of Supervisors to host a Health & Resource Fair for the senior community in Brooklyn, Miss. The aim of the fair is to assist seniors in prioritizing their health and well-being. This initiative is part of the county’s efforts to show care and support for the health of its residents.

Forrest County Board President Terri Bell emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially for those aged 60 and above in the Southern part of the county. She stated that this event is an opportunity for seniors to access important resources and services to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The fair will take place at the Brooklyn Community Center on Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m. to noon. Free health screenings, community resources, and aging services provided by SMPDD will be offered at the fair. In addition to health screenings, the fair will also provide refreshments and door prizes for attendees.

This event is an excellent opportunity for seniors in Brooklyn, Miss., to learn more about their health options and take advantage of valuable resources available in their community. For more news from WDAM 7, subscribe to our newsletter. Copyright 2024 WDAM. All rights reserved.
