Greg Van Roten makes a visit to the Seahawks

In recent years, the Seahawks have been focusing on improving their interior offensive line. General Manager John Schneider has identified this as a key need for the team and mentioned that they would consider options in both the draft and free agency to address it. While the draft is still a few weeks away, the Seahawks are actively exploring free agent options.

One such option is veteran guard Greg Van Roten, who will be meeting with the team on Wednesday. Van Roten started every game for the Raiders on a one-year deal last season and throughout his career, he has also had starting roles with the Bills, Jets, and Panthers after entering the league as an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2012. The Seahawks have also shown interest in Laken Tomlinson and Cody Whitehair, but as of now, they have not visited Seattle.

The meeting with Van Roten is a clear indication of the Seahawks’ commitment to addressing this need before the draft. It will be interesting to see how these potential moves pan out and how they will impact the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
