Stitch in Time, a specialty yarn store that has been serving the Howell community for over 30 years, will be closing its doors in October. The store, located at 722 E. Grand River Ave., will have its last day of operation on October 31. The owner, Charlene Hatfield, announced the closure on May 1, stating that she will be retiring.
Throughout the years, Stitch in Time has been a hub for creativity, connection and shared projects. In a heartfelt message to customers, Hatfield expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and love for the craft that the community has shown over the past three decades. She thanked her family, especially her husband, for their support in this endeavor. While saying goodbye to the store, Hatfield emphasized that the memories created together will always be cherished.
Stitch in Time is currently preparing to close its doors and fixtures from the store are available for sale. The prime retail space will soon be available for rent and those interested can contact Hatfield for more information. Until its closure, Stitch in Time will maintain its regular hours of operation and customers can visit their website at stitchintimemi.com for more information on closing sales and store events.
