The annual World’s Biggest Fish Fry returned to Paris, Tennessee on April 20th, with the Fish Tent opening on April 24th. This community-wide celebration and kickoff festival attracts thousands of visitors from all over.
Visitors to the Fish Tent can enjoy a plate of catfish, fries, coleslaw, beans, hush puppies and more for a ticket price of $20. Event organizer Josh ‘Smokey’ Taylor expressed the importance of this event in bringing people together.
To cater to the crowds, a significant amount of food is required. The organizers have 12 thousand pounds of fish, 3 or 4 thousand pounds of fries and handmade hush puppies in abundance. This amount of food serves 320 people every hour.
The World’s Biggest Fish Fry continues until Saturday, April 27th with operating hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, the event organizers have assured that they will serve the last person in line even if it means staying open past closing time.
On Friday morning, April 26th the Fish Fry Parade will kick off at 10 a.m., East Wood Street as just one of many exciting activities taking place during this celebration. To stay updated on local news visit the link provided
