The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce the return of the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The parade route will take fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street, with a special guest joining in – Santa Claus. The festivities continue with a tree lighting ceremony in Berkeley Green from 6:15 to 7 p.m., where Santa will light the tree while everyone is invited to join in a festive holiday sing-along with the Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will be available next to the bonfire.

Kids will have an opportunity to visit Santa from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Saranac Lake Free Library, where they can share their wish-lists with him and capture the moment with a photo. Additionally, a 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be illuminated at Riverside Park at 7:30 p.m.

This event is made possible by the support and collaboration of several valued organizations, including the Women’s Civic Chamber, the Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health, and the Northern Lights Choir
