In this edition of the Restaurant Operator Podcast, Mandy Detwiler, the managing editor of Networld Media Group and editor for QSRweb.com and PizzaMarketplace.com, interviews Chris Lybeer, the chief strategy and marketing officer for Revel Systems, a cloud-based technology provider. They discuss how technology is currently revolutionizing the restaurant industry.
Lybeer explains that technology is playing an increasingly significant role in the restaurant industry, with more restaurants relying on it in both the front and back of the house. He also highlights one of the biggest challenges facing the industry – rising costs such as food, real estate, and labor costs. This has put a lot of strain on restaurants, prompting them to seek out more efficient solutions that technology can provide.
Despite their initial reluctance to adopt new technologies, Lybeer believes that there is a massive opportunity for restaurants to leverage technology effectively to address their current challenges. By streamlining operations, reducing costs and improving overall efficiency through technology adoption, restaurants can stay competitive in an ever-changing market.
