Andy Reid is in favor of the proposed new kickoff rule and is optimistic about its approval.

The Competition Committee recently proposed a radical change to NFL kickoffs that could bring exciting new changes to the game. The idea is to have 10 players on each team line up only five yards apart during kickoffs, in an effort to decrease injuries and increase excitement.

At a recent league meeting, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expressed his support for this proposal. He stated that he believes the low-impact kickoff rule, similar to what has been attempted in the XFL, would be a great addition to the game. Reid is hopeful that if the rule passes, it will bring interesting and exciting changes to football.

The outcome of the vote is still uncertain, as it requires 24 “yes” votes to pass. However, with Reid’s support and other teams likely following suit, it seems that this proposal may become a reality soon.
