The Aspen Institute has announced eight new speakers who will join over 150 leaders in various fields such as health care, public health, policy, business, and technology to discuss innovative approaches to addressing challenges in health, medicine, and science. These speakers include Vivek Murthy, U.S. Surgeon General; Mandy Cohen, director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Anne Wojcicki, co-founder and CEO of 23andMe; Peter Lee, president of Microsoft Research; Laura Deming, partner and founder of The Longevity Fund; Malama Tafuna’i, primary care physician and senior professional practice fellow at Va’a o Tautai; Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine; and Joshua Roan, cellist and composer and creator of the Immunity Project.
The three-day convention will take place on the main Aspen Institute campus from June 20-23. This will lead into the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Aspen Institute’s flagship summer convening which runs from June 23-29. The first group of speakers for the Aspen Ideas Festival was announced earlier this month and included Jane Fonda and Bill Maher.
