Bafang has recently launched the Gear Variable Transmission (GVT) technology platform, along with the internal five-speed automatic shift hub, specifically designed for fat-tire e-bikes. This new innovation aims to revolutionize e-bike shifting by incorporating precise automatic mechanisms and advanced transmission control.
According to Bafang, GVT products are belt-drive friendly and easy to integrate, providing riders with a superior riding experience. The company is confident that this new technology will reduce common maintenance issues and improve durability in comparison to existing shift systems.
The G500A is built with high torque ratings of up to 200Nm and is available in both 175mm and 190mm dropout options. Bafang has emphasized the durability of the G500A by subjecting each gear to at least 10,000 impact tests, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of everyday use and provide a smooth shifting experience for riders.
Bafang believes that this innovation represents a significant advancement in extending the overall lifespan of e-bikes, making them more reliable for riders. With GVT, riders can enjoy a smoother ride while reducing maintenance costs and increasing their bike’s longevity.
