The Rogers City softball group earned its second doubleheader sweep in as several days Friday, defeating Onaway 11- and ten-1.

In the opener, Taylor Krentz got the win for Rogers City (22-7), throwing a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts.

Alyssa Hein and Elise Muller had two hits for Rogers City Callie Rhode had two triples and 3 RBI.

In the second game, McKenna Hardies got the win. At the plate, Kaitlin Nowicki had three hits and 3 RBI and Brooklyn Orr had two hits and 3 RBI.

On Thursday, Rogers City swept Petoskey 7-five and ten-four. Kaitlyn Crawford helped Rogers City in the opener with a stroll-off 3 run house run.

Rogers City hosts Grayling on Tuesday.


Mackinaw City sweeps Posen

The Posen baseball group faced Mackinaw City in a non-conference doubleheader on Friday and lost three- and 15-five.

In the opener, 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning was all Mackinaw City required to win.

Ethan Romel and Maties Torralaba each and every had a hit for Posen.

Mackinaw City took manage early in the second game, scoring 5 runs in each and every of the 1st 3 innings.

Posen collected 5 hits for the game and scored twice in the third inning and 3 occasions in the fourth inning.
