Are you familiar with a mother in the sports world who deserves recognition? We are currently seeking nominations for the sixth annual “Sports Mom of the Year” award, which will be presented on May 12th, coinciding with Mother’s Day. If you know a deserving mother, you can submit her name and reasons why she should receive this recognition by 9 p.m. on May 3rd.

To make a nomination, you can email Kyle Neddenriep at kyle.neddenriep@indystar.com or leave a voicemail with your contact information at (317) 444-6649. Last year, the award was shared by Crystal Clark and Amy Dinwiddie. Previous winners include Susie Strange in 2022, Kris Schepers in 2021, Kathy Loggan in 2020, and Angie Young in 2019.

If you know a mother who has made an impact in the sports world and deserves recognition, don’t hesitate to submit a nomination. Call Star reporter Kyle Neddenriep at (317) 444-6649 to learn more or to make a nomination.
