J.J. McCarthy’s chance of being the second overall draft pick significantly increases.

As the draft season continues, the anticipation for the first round of picks is growing. One player that has been generating a lot of buzz is J.J. McCarthy, who played under Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. While it’s unlikely that McCarthy will be the first overall pick, there are some who believe he could go as the second choice.

In fact, DraftKings Sportsbook has adjusted their odds for McCarthy to be the second pick from +2500 to +500 after his impressive Pro Day workout and increasing rumors about his potential selection by the Commanders due to his national championship win in January. However, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels is also being considered as a strong contender for the second overall pick by many experts and analysts, with Chris Simms ranking him as the clear number two behind USC’s Caleb Williams.

With only one month left until the start of the draft in Detroit, it will be exciting to see where each player lands in the first round and how the selections play out. The speculation and excitement surrounding the draft continue to build as fans eagerly await to see which teams make which picks.
