Promoting Wellness and Inclusivity: Alluvion Health Foundation Hosts Third Annual ‘Get Out and Play’ Day

Alluvion Health Foundation recently hosted its annual ‘Get Out and Play’ day at Lions Park in Great Falls, featuring a variety of fun and inclusive recreational activities for kids. The event aims to engage children in inclusive recreational play to promote wellness early in life and foster healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

This year marked the third time that Alluvion Health Foundation organized the free, inclusive ‘Get Out and Play’ day, and the community showed up in full force to participate in the festivities. Teresa Schreiner, director of the foundation, emphasized that inclusive play promotes various aspects of well-being, such as psychosocial skills, motor skills, and social interaction. Encouraging kids to play together, problem solve, and work as a team helps create healthy individuals from a young age.

To make the event possible, Alluvion Health Foundation collaborated with 16 partners and businesses who share their commitment to serving kids in the community. Deb Sivumaki, executive director of Eagle Mount, praised the initiative for bringing together organizations that work with children under one roof, allowing families to come together and enjoy the day. She expressed excitement about being a part of the event for the second year in a row.

The success of ‘Get Out and Play’ highlights the importance of community support in organizing large-scale events like this. Schreiner noted that reaching out to partners and businesses was easy because they also believe in the mission of promoting wellness and inclusivity among children. The event will continue to grow and inspire young kids and families to spend time outdoors, interact with others, and be part of a supportive community.

As Schreiner put it: “We are thrilled by the continued support from our partners
