Phillies Make Progress in Injured Players’ Recovery: Harper, Schwarber, and Realmuto Work Towards Return

The Phillies have made progress in the recovery of injured players Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and J.T. Realmuto. Although they will not play in the team’s next six games against Chicago and Atlanta, all three are working their way back to the field.

Harper and Schwarber were seen hitting in the batting cages, while Realmuto did receiving drills and hit on the field for the first time since his surgery. All three players have been jogging and showing signs of improvement. Manager Rob Thomson mentioned that they are not far away from returning to the lineup. Harper and Schwarber are first eligible for activation on July 9, while Realmuto may take a bit longer to return, likely after the All-Star break.

Despite being injured, the Phillies have managed to stay competitive, winning two of the three games without Harper and Schwarber over the weekend. Nick Castellanos and Trea Turner have stepped up to fill the void left by the injured players. Their performances will be crucial for the Phillies over the next week as they aim to maintain their division lead. The team has shown resilience during this challenging stretch and continues to stay within reach of the Braves in the standings.
