Grace Properties LLC, owned by David and Amanda Trahan, has purchased 6.2 acres of land near Sugar Mill Pond in Youngsville for over $2.8 million to open a new location for their Lake Charles-based daiquiri chain, Paradise Grill & Daiquiris. The couple plans to divide the land into five lots and sell the remaining lots to other businesses. Construction is expected to begin in the fall.
The Trahans have also recently acquired 1.6 acres of land along Milton Road in Baton Rouge for $555,000, but later sold it to a Baton Rouge-based development group for $800,000 the following year due to an attractive offer despite their initial plan not being to sell. David Trahan stated that the new location in Youngsville is a better fit for their business than the previous one, as they aim to expand into the Lafayette area with five or six locations and also expand into Baton Rouge. Currently, Paradise Grill & Daiquiris has four locations in Louisiana and another one set to open on May 1st.
