The Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) has recently awarded nearly $4.6 million to fund 11 community projects aimed at improving health outcomes in the state. TSET will be funding these projects by providing grants to organizations that focus on enhancing infrastructure and promoting physical activity.

The 11 awardees and their respective projects are listed below:

* Development of plans for community parks and trail systems

* Improvements to community fitness centers

* Creation of ADA-compliant sidewalks and playgrounds

* Construction of outdoor fitness equipment in parks and recreational areas

* Upgrades to community swimming pools and aquatic facilities

* Installation of bike lanes and pedestrian crossings throughout communities

* Development of walking trails along waterways and natural habitats

* Expansion of public transportation options in urban areas

* Creation of new parks and recreational facilities in underserved communities
