In light of recent controversies surrounding content moderation on social media platform X, the NFL has confirmed that it will not be stopping its advertising efforts on the platform. Despite concerns about harmful viewpoints being allowed under the guise of free speech, NFL Chief Media and Business Officer Brian Rolapp stated that the league will continue to advertise on X because of its large user base.
The recent incident where the platform allowed a harmful anti-Semitic message has raised questions for advertisers and potential impacts on user engagement. The NFL is currently considering whether to financially support the platform and indirectly endorse its approach by purchasing ads there. So far, the league has remained committed to its support of X.
