Chris and Allison Short are excited to celebrate the start of their second summer season as the new owners of White Pine Lodge. The lodge was purchased in the fall of 2022 from previous owners Andy and Ida DeLisi, and since then, the Shorts have been having a great time running the lodge together. In less than six weeks, they will be welcoming back returning guests and meeting new faces.
Over the past year, Chris and Allison have put their own stamp on the lodge by adding draft beer, homemade pizzas, hosting community events, and opening a new campground on the property. The campground features four campsites with picnic tables and fire pits, and it is open year-round. Chris Short mentioned that the addition of the campground has been a positive asset for the business and has generated excitement in the community.
The Shorts recently spoke with WTIP’s Kalli Hawkins for the Local Business Spotlight, where they discussed their love for the business, shared some of their homemade pizza recipes, and talked about their plans for the upcoming summer season. They expressed how welcoming and supportive the community has been since they took over ownership. With this summer season approaching, they are looking forward to seeing what it has in store for them and sharing their passion for White Pine Lodge with others.
