New Framework Agreement Boosts Peru’s Video Game Industry: A Decade of Growth and Development

The video game industry in Peru has experienced significant growth and development over the past two decades, thanks to a new framework agreement signed by the Culture Ministry (Mincul) and the Associated Video Game Companies of Peru (CVA). The agreement, signed on June 26, aims to promote collaboration between the two parties in order to enhance academic training, capacity building activities, and the exchange of strategic information.

During a signing ceremony attended by representatives from prominent video game development companies in Peru such as Hermanos Magia, Leap Game Studio and Bamtang Games, industry leaders shared their experiences representing Peru at international festivals, discussed their latest projects, and highlighted the growth they have achieved in the industry. This agreement serves as a significant milestone for the video game industry in Peru, marking more than two decades since the first video game developer was established in the country.

The CVA was founded in 2014 as a trade organization that brings together major companies in the video game development sector in Peru. Its mission is to promote business development, training, and growth of the video game industry in Peru while representing the interests of its associates and the developer community before both public and private entities.
