Bobby Johnson Reportedly Hired as Commanders’ Offensive Line Coach

The Washington Commanders have recently announced the addition of two new coaches to their staff. Bobby Johnson has been named the offensive line coach, while Ken Norton Jr. will serve as the team’s linebackers coach. These appointments come after the team parted ways with several coaches at the end of the 2023 season.

Johnson, who previously worked with the Giants, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has also coached with teams such as the Colts, Raiders, Lions, and Jaguars throughout his career. In addition to his experience on offense, Johnson has also worked extensively with special teams and served as an assistant offensive line coach for several teams.

Norton Jr., who most recently coached with the Dolphins, is known for his work as a defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in previous roles. He has also worked closely with current Commanders head coach Dan Quinn during their time together in Atlanta.

Quinn has been busy filling key roles on his staff since taking over as head coach earlier this year. He has expressed a desire to build a coaching staff that includes experienced NFC East coaches, indicating a focus on bringing in knowledgeable individuals who can help guide the team to success in a highly competitive conference.
