DOE Issues Solicitation for Support Services for National Energy Technology Laboratory Facility Operations

The Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is looking for a small business set-aside contractor to provide various housekeeping and facility operation services. This is in line with Site Operations Support Services 5 (SOS5), an 8(a) small business set-aside contract.

The RFP for SOS5 was posted on SAM.gov on Monday and will benefit the NETL facilities in Oregon, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. However, the specific requirements will determine the work locations and the contract type cost.

The base period of performance for SOS5 is 24 months, with three options available that can extend the work to 60 months if exercised. Interested parties are invited to respond to the RFP by May 17. The selected contractor will play a critical role in providing a safe and clean working environment for the Department of Energy’s staff working at these sites.

SOS5 aims to provide essential support services to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of the NETL facilities. This presents an opportunity for small businesses to contribute to important work conducted by the National Energy Technology Laboratory.
