The Indianapolis Colts have released linebacker Shaquille Leonard, who was a key member of the team for six years. Although he had his fair share of accomplishments during that time, including being named defensive rookie of the year and a first-team All-Pro, injuries and a decrease in playing time ultimately led to his release.

Colts owner Jim Irsay took the opportunity to thank Leonard for his contributions to the team, expressing gratitude for the impact he made on the organization. In response, Leonard posted a farewell message on social media, expressing his appreciation for the support he received from Colts fans and his love for the city of Indianapolis.

With his departure from the Colts, Leonard is now looking forward to exploring new opportunities as a free agent. He will undoubtedly be highly sought after by teams looking to add talent to their defense, and with good reason. Despite his struggles with back injuries, Leonard has shown that he can be an effective player when healthy and on form.
