The global community is facing an urgent climate crisis, and it is more important than ever to have a solid understanding of climate science in order to effectively combat and adapt to the changing climate. With the abundance of information available on climate change, it can be challenging to discern what is accurate and what is misleading.
To promote scientific literacy among the public, UNESCO has teamed up with 9 other United Nations agencies to develop a series of 27 informative posters. These posters, created under the United Nations’ Issue-based Coalition on Climate Change and Resilience (IBC-CCR), aim to consolidate the wealth of climate knowledge held by the United Nations and provide valuable information to help educate individuals on the complexities of climate change.
By arming ourselves with accurate knowledge about climate change, we can better prepare ourselves to address the challenges posed by the changing climate. It is through understanding the science behind climate change that we can take meaningful action to mitigate its impact and build resilience in the face of new realities. Only with a solid foundation of climate knowledge can we effectively navigate the complexities of the climate crisis and work towards a more sustainable future for our planet.
