Narrowly Escaping Death: Antelope Fights Back Against Lion and Crocodile Attack in South Africa’s Mkuze Nature Reserve

In a unique interaction between antelopes, crocodiles, and lions, a tourist captured on film a male nyala antelope being stalked by a lioness in South Africa’s Mkuze nature reserve. The antelope managed to escape the lioness by running into the water, where it faced the threat of hungry crocodiles lurking nearby.

Knowing the dangers in the water, the lioness did not follow but waited for the antelope to move. As the antelope stood in the lake hoping for the lioness to leave, it was caught off guard by a crocodile attack.
