In the 2025 recruiting class, the Michigan State coaching staff identified Hawaii native Houston Kaahaaina-Torres as one of their top prospects. The Spartans were not alone in their pursuit, as Arizona State, Nebraska, and Utah also targeted the interior offensive line prospect. However, despite their efforts, Michigan State was unable to secure his commitment. Ultimately, it was the Nebraska Cornhuskers who emerged victorious in the battle for the 3-star recruit.
Michigan State’s loss of Houston Kaahaaina-Torres to another Big Ten school is a blow to their recruiting efforts for the 2025 class. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to secure his commitment. As such, they will need to continue looking for other talented prospects to fill out their roster.
